FAQ

What is ESD roll flooring?

ESD (electrostatic discharge) roll flooring is a conductive or static-dissipative vinyl sheet that safely channels static electricity to ground. It is used in electronics manufacturing, cleanrooms and data centers to protect sensitive components and reduce dust attraction.

What surface resistance does your ESD flooring provide?

Our standard ESD roll delivers surface resistance in the 10⁶ – 10⁹ Ω static-dissipative range, with system resistance below 10⁹ Ω. Custom conductive grades are available on request.

Is ESD flooring installed as a roll or tile?

We supply it in 2.0 m wide rolls for seamless, fast installation with fewer joints — important for both ESD continuity and hygiene.

Does ESD flooring need a grounding system?

Yes — for proper performance the floor must be connected to a building ground network through copper strips, grounding points and compatible adhesive. We provide installation guidance with every order.

What is the MOQ and lead time?

MOQ is 1 roll (about 500 sqm), standard lead time 15–20 days. Contact us for project-specific electrical specs.

How does ESD flooring work?

Static generated by foot traffic and equipment travels through the conductive layer inside the sheet and is drained safely to earth through copper strips bonded to the building ground network — so charges never build up to a sudden, damaging discharge.

Do I need conductive or static-dissipative flooring?

Conductive floors (about 10⁴–10⁶ Ω) drain charges fastest and suit electronics assembly lines and explosive-atmosphere areas. Static-dissipative floors (10⁶–10⁹ Ω) discharge more gently and are the standard choice for labs, data centres and cleanrooms. Tell us your application and we will specify the right resistance range.

Does my project need an ESD floor?

If you run electronics assembly, SMT lines, cleanrooms, laboratories, server rooms or paint shops, static control is normally required by your process standard (IEC 61340 family). Static-dissipative flooring drains human and equipment static before it can damage sensitive components. Send us your application and we will confirm the right grade.

How do you test ESD floor resistance?

Surface resistance is measured with a megohmmeter and standardized electrodes per EN 61340-5-1 / ASTM F150 at defined test points. Our dissipative grades read 10⁶–10⁹ Ω and conductive grades 10⁴–10⁶ Ω; a resistance test report is supplied with every production batch.
